Dear God, Whats up with the world???

>> Saturday, May 17, 2008

I was just browsing around the net and just found out different shocking stories of different people how they survived the earthquake in china.. Since Monday, thousands of lives were taken and thousands were been injured... I wondered, is the world nearly end?

Heres some photos of the victims and there stories:

Boys trapped under a collapsed building awaited rescue.

Soldiers carried a wounded child out of a collapsed building in Beichuan County, Sichuan Province.

A child who survived a school collapse in Mianzhu cried while lying in bed at a hospital in Deyang.

Rescuers clean out the debris pressing on a trapped middle school student Yang Hong in quake-striken Beichuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, May 15, 2008

The man himself might not know how dozens of PLA soldiers worked for five and a half hours in the ruins -- some were bleeding themselves after they were injured by falling stones, triggered by aftershocks. But their pains paid off when the man was saved.

The victims themselves never lost hope -- when the worst was over and one was either hardened or paralyzed by the pain and horror, the drive to live would almost always prevail.

Two girls held hands in the ruins of their school and swore to each other they would never give up hope. When rescuers found them, one in a coma and the other dead, their hands were still clenched together.

At the site of a collapsed kindergarten in Beichuan County, one of the worst-hit areas near Wenchuan, a preschooler hummed a nursery rhyme when rescuers carefully removed the layers of rubble from her legs.

"I'm trying to forget the pain," she said.

Song Xinyi, a 3-year-old earthquake survivor, is saved in earthquake-hit Beichuan County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, May 14, 2008. Song was saved after being buried in the ruins for more than 40 hours

Even an 18-month-old toddler screamed "save mama, save papa" from the safety of a rescuer's arms. Her parents were both dead.

Many babies were born during the quake, and most of their names reflect that. Given names like Zhensheng (born in the quake) and Yaoyao (rock) were bestowed to commemorate the significance of their births.

As the song goes, "a ray of hope flickers in the sky, a tiny star lights up way up high. All across the land dawns a brand new morn. This comes to pass when a child is born."

Happy Mom's day!!

>> Monday, May 12, 2008

It's kinda late to say "Happy Mothers Day" but it's better to be late than never.

Anyway, i want to do something that i cant right now.. i miss to have a job!! don't know why but i just feel a bit boredom?I've been out of work for years and I miss it so much!! I miss riding in the Jeep and the noise of the people, including fighting to others in order for me to get home and work early lolz.. Sometimes I get tired of baby-sitting my Lil Seanray, especially when im by myself... Some people might disaagree with me, but in reality it's very hard especially when I think of my problems in life lolz! Am I being too dramatic here? Being a mom is not easy, especially when the father of my son lives far. The father of my son has to work very hard for a year so that he can visit us here in Philippines yearly.

I remember yesterday, I was doing my laundry and I left my son upstairs playing with his cousins; I just heard a big bang, so I went up and I saw broken glasses and I asked the kids who did it. Guess who did it? It was my Lil "Kulit" and I saw him shaking and crying.

Right now im trying my luck in the internet... who knows I find a job here online, right? as if I get really lucky. I could not buy ads yesterday, but atleast I tried to send my resume online, so I did my part lolz. Anyway, that's it for now people...til next time blogger.

Ilocos Norte Wind Mills

The Bangui Wind Mills were built by the NorthWind Power Development Corporation to take its share in reducing the emission of harmful greenhouse gases (GHGs) causing global warming and to accelerate the rural electrification of the goverment.

In this area, wind mostly comes from the north-east, from the sea towards the land. To optimize the full benefit of the winds, turbines are installed along the shore facing the sea effectively removing wind breaks and achieving a terrain roughness of class 0.

The 'Wind Farm" as it is aptly called consist of 15 wind turbines. The turbines are on-shore and arranged in a single row spaced 326 meters apart. The turbines hub height (ground level to center of nacelle - that part holding the blades) is 70 meters high (roughly equivalent to a 23 storey building), each blade is 41 meters long (just 9 meters shy of a Olympic sized pool) giving a rotor diameter of 82 meters and a wind swept area of 5,281 square meters.
